Casting Call – Actors Wanted!

We’re casting for several fantastic productions in our brand new 25/26 season and looking for talented actors of all backgrounds to bring these stories to life! Playing ages are guidelines - what matters most is finding the right dynamic between characters, so if you feel suited to a role, we encourage you to audition. ALL AUDITIONS at NEW MILLENNIUM THEATRE - Doors open: 7:00 PM - Auditions start: 7:30 PM - No need to book - just turn up! All audition pieces will be provided on the night. Auditions for INSPECTOR DRAKE AND THE PERFEKT CRIME (A hilarious detective spoof full of twists) Wednesday 26th February. Roles are - Inspector Drake (30s-50s) – Comically incompetent detective, Sergeant Plod (30s-50s) – Equally clueless assistant, Dr Short (40s-60s) – Strange and eccentric forensic expert, Miss Duck (20s to 40s) – Possible witness or suspect, Sabrina (20s-30s) – Alluring, but may be a murderer. *********************************** Auditions for A MONTH OF SUNDAYS (Touching Comedy), Monday 3rd March. Roles are - Cooper (60s-70s) – Witty, defiant nursing home resident, Aylott (60s-70s) – Cooper’s more resigned but loyal friend, Nurse Wilson (20s-30s) – Kind but no-nonsense caregiver, Mrs Baker (50s-60s) – Warm-hearted care assistant, Julia (40s-50s) – Cooper’s daughter, trying to reconnect with him, Peter (40s-50s) – Julia’s well-meaning but awkward husband. ********************************Auditions for SEE HOW THEY RUN (Classic British Farce) Tuesday 25th March. Roles are - Penelope Toop (late 20s-mid 30s) – Lively ex-actress, now a vicar’s wife, Rev Lionel Toop (30s-40s) – Flustered but well-meaning vicar, Miss Skillon (40s-60s) – Stern, traditional churchgoer, always disapproving, Clive Winton (late 20s-mid 30s) – Cheeky soldier, Penelope’s old friend, The Intruder/Russian Spy (30s-50s) – Mysterious, dangerous escaped POW, Sergeant Towers (40s-60s) – No-nonsense policeman investigating the chaos, Bishop of Lax (50s-70s) – Penelope’s distinguished but absent-minded uncle, Ida (20s-40s) – Mischievous cockney maid, full of energy, Rev Arthur Humphrey (40s-60s) – Timid visiting clergyman mistaken for an imposter.*************************Auditions for BIG BIG SKY (Heartfelt Drama) Thursday 27th March. Roles are - Angie (50s-60s) – Kind, motherly, runs a seaside café, Lauren (20s-30s) – Angie’s independent but caring assistant, Ed (20s-30s) – Reserved but well-meaning conservation worker, Dennis (60s-70s) – Local with a dry sense of humour, Lauren's Dad.************************Auditions for VERONICA'S ROOM (Psychological Thriller) Tuesday 1st April. The Man (50s-60s) – Mysterious, persuasive, and unsettling. Roles are - The Woman (50s-60s) – His wife, seemingly kind but hiding sinister motives, The Young Man (20s-30s) – Innocent-seeming but involved in deception, The Young Woman (20s) – The protagonist, trapped in a nightmarish reality.
