Successful thriller writer Harold Kent wants to dissolve his partnership with his writing partner, Paul Rigg. Threatened with blackmail from Rigg, Kent conspires with his wife, Emma, to Kill Rigg using a plot from a projected script. The plan goes smoothly ... or does it? When the Kents are visited by the persistent and perceptive Inspector Egan the plotters are in for some nasty surprises and laughs, thrills and mind-boggling twists abound in this ingenious thriller.
