Trespass
By Emlyn Williams
Christine is distraught when her second husband, Philip - a dance band leader - dies suddenly at their castle home in Wales. Refusing to believe the truth she engages mediums to bring Philip back. The latest attempt takes place in the presence, among others, of Philip's mother, Christine's daughter and Dewar, a family friend with knowledge of the psychic. A trick is purported on the company but Dewar recognises that Savielo does indeed have psychic qualities, of which he is afraid. The next night is one of fear and terror with Philip's music prevading the taut atmosphere, wherein everyone has "one foot over the line" and must not, under any circumstances, cross over. Secrets are told, spine-chilling events take place and the dawn brings sunshine, peace - and death.
