The King who took Sunshine

We are in the palace of the King and Queen of Portamento. The King is very bad tempered because he has no money and everyone is asking him to pay their wages. The only way out of his problems, it seems, is to marry his lovely daughter, Joanna, to the ugly Duke of Monte Rosa. Perhaps the Queen will find another solution?
